Kilchoman Spring 2011 Release – 46% - 70% of the whisky is 3 year old fresh Bourbon, and 4 year old fresh Bourbon finished for 5 weeks in sherry casks. – My Tasting Note: Nose: soft honey, vanilla, fermented wash, cherries and sweet fruit with grassy earthy peat; Palate: very chewy malt, dry biscuity peat and creamy honey; Finish: drying and oily with malt and pure smoke. - Tasted at the distillery.
