This special edition "Big" Peat Monster is composed of single malts from Caol Ila and Laphroaig distilleries on Islay, Ardmore which is a peated Speyside single malt and a touch of Clynelish from the Northern Highlands. "Nose: comfortably thickish smoke, and a dusting of peppers: complex and well balanced; Taste: silky soft malty oils cleverly disguise the big punchy peat which is to follow; lovely touch of golden syrup here and there, but mainly towards the delivery: finish: smoky sweetened mocha." ml
