Aperol is an immensely popular Italian aperitif produced in Padua. Its ingredients are, among others, bitter orange, gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona. Although it looks, tastes, and smells much like Campari, it has a higher sugar content and is lower in alcohol. Serve 2 parts Aperol to 3 parts Prosecco. A splash of soda and a sliver of lemon. Bellissimo!
