Mackmyra is the first single malt distillery in Sweden and has been so succesful they are building another. Two styles of whisky are produced, one smoky the other not, and they also use some charred Swedish oak. My tasting notes: Nose: fresh, light, sweet and fruit with grassy malt and faint whiffs of smoke; Palate: light, appley, soft and floral with more clean malt and hints of brackish smoke; Finish: light and clean with more orchard fruits and drifting smoke.
