The Dalmore Distillery, said to have been founded in 1839, lies in the northern highlands within a more mountainess region. As such, the water softens as it flows from high mountain rivers, through forest to the distillery. A resulting velvety-smooth texture is apparent in their whiskies. In this version, equal parts of smokiness and sweetness combine to produce a soft, smooth dram.
