Dufftown is one of 7 distilleries in the town of the same name. Dufftown's tag line is that it is the town built on seven stills! Nose: biscuity, charred oak, nutty, a touch sulphrous and burnt hair. Palate: sweet, spice, lots of black licorice, clove, hints of rubber and sulphur. Finish: drying, long and warming with more cloves. Bottled from a single sherry butt after 25 years, 57.5%.
