This whisky is rich with leather, tobacco, Christmas cake notes and lovely woody notes like cedar and mohogany. This dram could easily have featured in Glenfarclas' Family Cask line, but it was instead bottled by Douglas Laing--who owned the cask--at roughly a fifth of the cost. This is a whisky to treasure and to collect, but at this price it is also very drinkable! ml
