Aged 5 years the whisky is sure to pack a punch, both from the high alcohol content, 62.5%, and the phenolic level (peat and smoke), 140ppm. Only 15,000 bottles released worldwide, with very few having come in to Canada. KWM has acquired only 30 bottles. Palate: very smoky and herbaceous; there is smoke a plenty and lots of soft oils, firm peat, notes of fresh mint and wet grass, the vanilla is fleeting and sweet. ml
