Bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.6% the result for the Bowmore 16 is aromas of ripe red berries, sugared almonds and butterscotch with a damp earthy smokiness. The palate is rich, sweet and smoky followed by a hint of sea salt. The finish is a long deep fusion of juicy ripe berries and the trademark Bowmore smokiness.
