Laphroaig is a prized heavily peated whisky. The malt is only peated to a phenolic level of 35ppm but has a much bigger palate. The distillery is unusual because it's 7 stills are an assortment of different shapes and have some flat surfaces. The only official bottling of Laproaig available in Canada is the Quarter Cask. This 18Yr independent bottling from Dewar Rattray is a rarity, more so because it has been bottled exclusively for the Alberta market. The label features the Alberta flag. ml
