According to Indian Mythology, when Gods and the Rakshas (the demons) churned the oceans using mountain Menu as churner a golden pot sprang out containing the Elixir of Life or "Amrut". The whisky is made using Indian barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas, and is mashed with water from those same mountains. Distilled in the city of Bangalore it is matured their in tropical conditions. 50% of the whisky--the angels share--is generally lost before bottling.

Yes, you read that correctly, this is a heavily peated Indian single malt whisky! India is not exactly know for their peat, so it has to be flown in from Scotland to dry the malt, and the effect? Shocking, if you didn't know any better you'd swear the whisky was from Islay!
