Glentauchers was built on a farm outside Keith in 1898. The distillery was originally built and owned by James Buchanan. It closed in 1958 but reopened in 1989 under the ownership of Chivas Bros. Glentauchers is a big component of Ballentine's and Teacher's blends. ml
