Azienda Agricola La Torre is located near Sant'Angelo in Colle, in the southern part of the Montalcino municipality. The first La Torre Brunello di Montalcino was the 1982 Brunello, which appeared on the market in 1987, eleven years after the estate was purchased. The estate is 36 hectares in size, 5.6 hectares of which is planted as vineyards. The winery produces Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Ampelio, Rosso Toscano and, in outstanding years, Brunello Riserva. The winery operates on a traditional basis, although its practices respond to developments in know-how and environmental protection. Tradition is never forgotten, and recently-abandoned procedures and practices are given due consideration alongside innovations provided by scientific research.
750 mlThink of Rosso di Montalcino as the baby brother to Brunello. Whereas Brunello must be in oak for a minimum of three years, the Rosso spends 18 months in barrel. They are generally ready to drink upon release whereas young Brunello always benefits from time in the cellar. It offers a classic core of sweet black cherry fruit and cassis with smoky undertones, a polished gem of a wine.

The price of wine seems to be getting higher and higher with every passing day, especially in famous regions such as Burgundy and Napa. Brunello is of course no exception to this, with most bottles nowadays going for at least $100. This bottle from La Torre represents great value for money. It offers aromas of black tea, black cherries, and savoury herbs on the nose. On the palate, ripe red fruits and baking spice hit the front of the palate, with a finish of cranberry and violet tapering off. Fine tannins and a crisp acidity keep the palate wanting more.
Would benefit from a couple-hour decant.
Pairs perfectly with turkey or roast beef and will be able to hold up to almost any side you throw at it!

Previously sold under the Chianti Colli Senesi name, this cuvée comes from part of Le Ragnaie (Troncone), a vineyard located just under the 600-meter limit decreed by the government for the production of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino) It offers aromas of black cherry and spices, with a rich and silky mouth. Its well-integrated tannins and persistent finish make it excellent value for money. Ideal to accompany grilled meats and pasta. A refined and pleasant Tuscan.

This winery begins with a tale of two brothers - Walter and Antonio Mastroberardino -who parted ways, with Antonio acquiring the winery and Walter acquiring the vineyards (renamed as Terradora). The Terredora di Paolo estate is located on the hills of Irpinia surrounding the valleys of the Sabato and Calore rivers. With about 180 hectares of vineyards, they rank among the most prestigious producers in Southern Italy. The South of Italy is one of the most interesting wine areas in the country and Campania, and especially the Irpinia region, produces wines from native grape varieties such as Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Piedirosso and Falanghina, all of which are brimming with personality.
