Arran is the only distillery on the Isle of Arran. Established in 1993, it laid down its first stocks of spirit in 1995. Although its whiskies are young Arran has developed a strong reputation for quality. Nose: Fresh and pungent with almond, vanilla and spice-box notes emerging. Taste: The initial rush of sweetness gives way to a crisp and deliciously dry character. Briny in style with a hint of west coast sea-salt. Finish: Complex, nutty aftertaste with good balance.
