Balvenie distillery is Glenfiddich's younger sister; both distilleries are family owned. Even though Balvenie is one of Scotland's 10 largest distilleries, it still floor malts some of its own barley. Nose: classic Balvenie honey & malt, raisins, brown sugar & crisp oak. Palate: the balance catches your attention right away, malt, brown sugar and oak evenly distributed; buttery vanilla notes slowly emerge w/ a faint hint of caramelized fruit. Finish: long, soft, sweet and honeyed. A very delightful dram!750 ml
