This malt whisky is a key component of Ballentine's, Teachers, and Old Smuggler. The distillery was founded in 1824, and produces an astounding 5,240,000L of spirit a year. Between 1964-1981 a pair of Lomond stills were installed to produce another single malt called Mosstowie, which though no longer made can still be found!
