This Macallan has been bottled by independent bottler Douglas Laing & Co. One of the older independent bottlers they were founded in 1948, and unlike many of the newer firms, they mature most of their own stocks. "Nose: richly spiced, gritsy, plus honey & smoke. Palate: chewy, toffee d, plus a dry toastiness. Finish: buttery, warmly spiced, with great oak charm." - Fred Laing Single Cask / 50%

At approximately 1/2 the price of 25Yr Macallan from the distillery, this whisky deserves more than a second look. From one refill hoggy: toffee, toast & spice notes dominate. 50%ABV 357 bottles produced.
