Bowmore 1990 Sherry Cask 16 Year

Bottled at 53.8%, this whisky was distilled in 1990 and matured for 16 years in Oloroso sherry casks. Nose: cigar smoke, peat ash, raisins, milk chocolate and fruitcake. Body: med-full. Palate: big, dry and floral, big toffee and burning peat emerge with water. Finish: meaty and burnt with a perfumed character. Bowmore's limited annual release for 2006, a 16Yr vatting of Oloroso sherry casks from 1990, bottled at cask strength.
