Domaine de la Mordorée is located in Tavel, in the southern Rhône valley. Created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, the family business owes its fame to Christophe Delorme, who has raised the Domaine to the level of one of the greatest domaines in Tavel and Lirac. Madeleine & Ambre their daughter managed the company since 2016 with the team in place. The wines are certified biodynamic and the name is from the local dialect for the woodcock that flies over the vineyards during its migration.
750 mlThe Tavel is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Clairette, Cinsault. It's from a certified organic and biodynamic vineyard. Selected harvest is done by hand. The vineyards are situated on the Vallongue plateau in Villafranchienne, a terrace of cobblestones on a sandy-clay base. 20% is aged in oak casks and the remainder in the tank. It is one of the world's greatest examples of rosé, and ranks up there with names like Tempier and Lopez de Heredia.
