In 1979 Glenrothes celebrated its 100th anniversary, installed 2 new stills and laid down a couple of special casks distilled from the new stills. Cask # 13459, 492 bottles at 56.6%ABV.

Cask #13459 of The Centenary distillation from The Glenrothes is limited to 492 bottles. They are displayed in a wooden frame & each is individually numbered. The whisky is from the new stills added in 1979. This whisky is very collectible. Colour: intense copper red. Nose: massive, syruppy, spices & treacle. Palate: intense, spicy, licorice & dried fruits. Finish: enormous, rich, spicy, dried fruit.
