Closed in 1983, there has been no Port Ellen distilled in 23 years. As a result new bottlings of the whisky are rare, especially distillery editions such as this. The last two releases of 25Yr Port Ellen were smash hits. Nose: linseed-oil, herbs and a honeyed sweetness. Body: med/full. Palate: Smoky, medicinal and sweet.
