Lagavulin lovers now have another bottle to place next to their 16Yr and Double Matured bottlings, a cask strength 12Yr. Nose: begins mildly fruity, w/ cigar smoke and seaweed catching up. Body: medium and expansive. Palate: intense at strength, there is a light sweetness, crisp acidity and saltiness with big medicinal and smoke notes. Finish: oat cakes and peat smoke. A must have from Islay!
Lagavulin fans rejoice, the 12 year old cask strength is here! With just 5000 bottles of this special release produced, only a few made it here. Matured in refill bourbon; 93pts from Jim Murray.
