A treasure from New Zealand's Marlborough region, the winery is named after the satellite tracking station based in the area's Waihopai Valley. The Sauvignon Blanc is classic Marlborough with aromas of bell pepper and grapefruit and cut grass, leading into a palate of tropical fruit, citrus and fresh herbs. Torlesse takes it's name from an early Canterbury resident, surveyor and farmer, Englishman Charles Torlesse. He gave his name to the Torlesse mountain range which part circles the Canterbury Plains and was at one time the largest land owner and farmer in North Canterbury and founder of the nearby town of Rangiora. Interestingly, the name Torlesse is given to the underlying bedrock from which most New Zealand soils are derived.

Situated to the north of Lake Grandlieu, the commune of Bouaye enjoys excellent exposure. Its south-facing slopes, covered with gravel, favour early maturity. Harvested at the limit of over-ripeness, this Muscadet has been aged for 6 years on fine lees in underground tanks. Try it with fish in sauce, scallops or goat cheese. A real gastronomic Muscadet, 100% Melon de Bourgogne, as it is also known.
The average age of the vines is 35 years,a citrus-driven white wine aged sur lie (on the lees), which imparts a creamy texture as well as floral and light spice notes to the wine. This is a great wine for pairing with oysters, mussels, scallops, salads, or a grilled cheese sandwich!

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Domaine Du Haut Bourg offers a marriage of New World tropical fruit with an acid-driven twist to the Old World terroir and minerality-driven style of Loire. While it is the sub-regions of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume that have the status and name recognition within the Loire Valley, the Sauvignon Blanc grape grows well throughout the area. This is thanks to Central Loire’s cooler climate which allows the grape to maintain the crisp acidity that it is known for. Domaine du Haut Bourg is located south of Nantes around the Grand-Lieu Lake in the Loire-Atlantique department – in the heart of the Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu appellation. The estate is a family business built by four generations of winegrowers. In 1944, the first Muscadet vines were planted on the estate and since then, the plantings have increased to reach 40 hectares.
