Family owned, and established in 1948 Douglas Laing is one of the old school independent bottlers. They don't live hand to mouth like some of their newer rivals, but like two of their even older competitors Gordon & MacPhail and Cadenhead they sit on their stocks until they are ready to bottle. Old Malt Cask bottlings are bottled at 50% without colouring or chill filtration.
