Orkney Island was the last landfall for Hudon's Bay ships heading to North America, where food, water and last minute additions to the crew were acquired. The Highland Park distillery was founded on Orkney Island by at least 1798, and some of its whisky no doubt made the voyage to the New World. This collectible bottle sold out at Chirstmas.
