In contrast to most introduction bottlings which generally use only the more prominent Espadin agave varietal, this Union bottling offers a slightly more nuanced style of mezcal for their entry level.

Producer Description
Mexcalia is a Mezcal made 100% of Agave Espadin using a combination of traditional and modern method of distillation. The only difference mainly is the process of roasting the agave fruit. When mass production is done, roasting the agave fruit in underground pits is practically impossible as this is done for small batch by small artisanal producers. Our roasting method is done in industrial sized ovens before proceeding with a traditional crushing and distilling method. This is the case of any large volume mezcal brand."
