Owned and operated by the Vallet family since the early 19th Century, Montifaud is renowned for having a caring and careful approach to cognac with emphasis on traditional methods. The team also has a collection of bottles dating back to 1830. The vineyard covers 50 hectares and is in the heart of Fine Petite Champagne. Aged between 8-10 years in old Limousin oak casks, this Montifaud VSOP is tremendously mellow, with notes of pears, apricots and nuts on the palate. Smooth and satisfying.

The Château Montifaud has belonged to the Vallet family for six generations.The vineyard was created in 1837 in the two finest areas in Cognac - Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne. The XO is a blend of 30-35 year old Cognacs, which sets it apart from most XO's which rarely contain Cognac more than 25 years of age. The XO is exceptionally rich and smooth. Easily our best value!
As of March 31st, 2019 a Cognac must be aged for a minimum of 10 years to be given the XO designation.

One of the world's greatest and best-known Cognacs! Courvoisier was created in the early 1800s by two friends and businessmen who started as traders for the best Cognacs in the region, and then decided to create their own. (Emmanuel Courvoisier was one of those men.) As it has been since the early 1800s, Courvoisier is made in the town of Jarnac, in Charente, France. It was the favourite Cognac of Napoleon Bonaparte - in fact, the place where Courvoisier is made has a museum about Cognac, which also holds a few Napoleon momentos, including a lock of his hair, a hat and coat.
