Crown Royal was created to celebrate King George VI's grand tour of Canada in 1939. A bottle of Crown Royal was placed in the Royal train to symbolize hardworking Canadian people. The Special Reserve was created in 1992 from top young whiskies, all carefully aged and then blended. Like other Crown Royal offerings, this one is made in Gimli, Manitoba. It features intense, warm aromas and flavours of chocolate, butterscotch and vanilla.
