Only 12 miles from Glasgow, and although a Highland by definition, these whiskies are known for a more Lowland style due to the use of unpeated malt. Also unique is the choice of sherry used for cask finishing. Instead of the more common oloroso wood, Glengoyne uses predominately palo cortado, resulting in more nutty flavors. This version has a light nose, is creamy smooth with notes of vanilla.
