A fresh, fizzy wine from one of Italy's most famous wine regions!
Moscato D'Asti is a fresh, low alcohol, and sweeter white wine (usually between 4.5 and 6.5% ABV) with light bubbles and plenty of stone fruit notes. It works tremendously as an alternative to Mimosas for a Sunday (or Monday, or Tuesday) brunch.

Appearance: bright straw yellow, with fine and persistent perlage; it maintains limited pressure, as recommended by the tradition of this wine.
Bouquet: tempting, immensely fresh and intense, it reveals decisive fruit notes, with a clear predominance of sage.
Flavour: expansive and enveloping, but not too sweet; the typical aroma of Moscato grapes is naturally prevalent and it has a very long and delicious finish.
It is best to serve it at temperatures between 9-10°C.
Superb with desserts, such as the classic Langhe hazelnut cake or apple and pine nut cake, lemon cake, fruit puffs and traditional Christmas panettone. It is also extremely particular and seductive when served with mature, slightly spicy cheeses.
To fully appreciate the fragrance of this wine, we recommend uncorking just before pouring.
"The Massolino family has been making Barolo from the iron-rich soils of Serralunga for over a century. This is an example of what you can expect when Moscato is given the Rolls Royce treatment. Drawn from just 1.5-hectares of hand-harvested grapes, in Moscato terms the production here is tiny, and what's more the vines are rooted in the prime calcareous soils of Serralunga d'Alba. The result is something altogether more savoury and complex and yet every bit as delicious as the more typical examples."

Oderro is one of the oldest and most respected producers in Piedmont, famous for their exceptional and long-lived Barolos. They also produce Moscato d'Asti, a sweet, fizzy low-alcohol (5%) wine that is perfect with brunch or any other occasion that calls for something fizzy and delicious. It is pale yellow in colour with a fragrant and aromatic bouquet along with light notes of mandarin, grapefruit, white peach, flowers and sage. It's refreshing, sweet and aromatic on the palate. This wine pairs well with the desserts in the best Italian tradition. We recommend it for more daring pairings and more intense flavours: certain cheeses that are not overly seasoned, salami and figs, or as an aperitif. Some venture as far as grilled prawns. In the olden days, a typical Italian snack was bread, tuma cheese (made with sheep's milk) and Moscato. Who are we to argue?
