Next door to Glenfiddich, the same company founded both distilleries, in 1886 and 1892 respectively. The Balvenie whiskies are sweeter and richer: classic examples of the Speyside heather-honey style. This version is full-bodied, honeyed and sweet, with light spicy notes and a hint of sherry fruitiness. Its finish is long and pleasingly rich.
