A blend of Sangiovese 33%, Cabernet Sauvignon 33%, and Merlot 33%. It's hand-harvested in mid-September / early October, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks, maceration for approx. 20 days. Matured in barriques for 18 months, bottled in October. The name “PONENTE” refers to the West and the Mediterranean wind of the same name—a decisive factor for the terroir of this wine, which they describe as a “Tuscan sunset in a glass.” Try it with grilled lamb or thick cut pork chops.
1500 mlA soft, lustrous ruby red. On the nose, notes of crisp sweet cherries, as well as currants, dried rose petals, and cedarwood. Polished on the palate at first, then revealing fresh acidity and compact fruit, supported by well-integrated tannins, with excellent drinkability.
