This 33 year old single grain from the closed Dumbarton distillery, bottled from a Refill Hogshead orginally filled in 1992 at 45.8%.
About the Label
"It’s another of our shockingly bad puns and plays on the extreme heaviness of the grains!
There’s a series of strong cliches carrying and moving cartoonishly heavy bags of grain (two circus strong-men, a crane being used to lift a single bag, and an ornate Rajasthani elephant). Hey, that elephant would look cool front & centre on the label, dontcha think, Em?"

Producer Tasting Note
Nose: A delightful initial hit of sweet cereal, reminiscent of freshly baked shortbread, quickly followed by the familiar warmth of Vanilla wafers.
Taste: The texture is light and silky. A burst of sweet, tropical fruit greets the tongue, underpinned by a delicate oak spice. As the sweetness subsides, the notes gently reveal coconut and spearmint, adding a refreshing, almost cocktail-like complexity. Leaving you with Pineapple and cedar—a final, lingering impression of a warm, wooden-decked terrace overlooking a tropical fruit grove.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) is part of the Atom Group, which also owns the UK retailer Master of Malt and a number of other subsidiaries. They are a dynamic and innovative firm, who by example invented the Whisky Advent Calendar concept. Established in 2012, TBWC is famous for its playful and colourful labels, which often feature prominent whisky industry figures, tell a story, and or elude to an inside joke. The labels are typically laced with hidden elements and "Easter Eggs."
TBWC bottles whiskies from around the world, though the bulk of their offerings are of Scottish origin. Most of their offerings are small-batch releases, Blended Malts, and Blends. Their "Head of Whisky" is Canadian Sam Simmons.

About the Label
"The view from the Caol Ila still house across to the Paps of Jura is perhaps one of the greatest in Scotland. However we’ve decided to focus in on our ‘Prince Vultan’ from a certain epic 1980s movie, charging across the water for our new label. We can guarantee that Jura's famed deer population are still behind, in tow!"

This 9 year old Glen Elgin was finished in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask before bottling at 45.8%.
About the Label
"This distillery’s original TBWC label depicts Lord Elgin, dressed in a red coat, carrying a sword and leading a large, beautiful white horse by the reins over the side of a typical Scottish Glen. The horse has saddlebags either side of it – one side has a slab of the Elgin Marbles Freize in and the other side has a pouch of normal ‘marbles’, of which a few are falling out as they walk along. Em’s reworking of the label keeps the Lord, and the themes, at the fore."

This 27 year old Glen Garioch was matured in a sherry butt, originally filled in 1998. Bottled at 45.8%.
About the Label
"Our original label references the greenhouses once warmed by waste heat from the distillery's stills way back in 1977. It also features Cocktail wizard Ryan Chetiyawardana who has time-travelled his way there to pick up some tomatoes... Magic! Speaking of magic, Em has taken a rabbit hiding that appeared on one of our later labels and given it pride of place on this 70cl version of the legendary distillery. More carrots please!"

About the Label
"The inspiration for our original label comes straight out of a British made sitcom called ‘Father Ted’ It originally aired on Channel 4 from April 1995 and ran for just three series up until May 1998. It came straight from an episode called ‘A Song for Europe’ that featured ‘My lovely Horse’. We didn’t want to change the label too much. That “My Lovely Horse” one is just bloody classic. Nice one, Emily!"
