This 2015 vintage Master of Malt "waxy" Dailuaine single cask was matured 9 years in a Refill Hogshead before bottling at 59.1%. Why "waxy"? In 2015 Diageo started producing a waxier style of Dailuaine, to compensate for Clynelish production lost while the distillery was being refurbished.

Nose: Delicate, layered, baking spice, orchard fruit, bright and fruity.
Taste: Backbone of ABV makes itself known with mango and oak. Water exposes layers of sun-soaked character; grapes, melon, wheat, fresh grass and quality oak.
Finish: Delightfully mouth-coating, textured, with a complexity that belies its age.

This 2010 vintage, 12-year-old Dailuaine was finished in an ex-Vin Santo cask, before bottling at 54.9%, exclusively for Kensington Wine Market.

Exclusive to KWM in Canada!
We ourselves some Dailuaine here at KWM. It's waxy and fruity profile seems to be showcased incredibly well in ex-Bourbon casks, which is why we jumped at the chance to have this as an exclusive. Distilled in 2009, this single cask spent 13 years maturing in a Hogshead (#315772) before being bottled at 52.9%. We only managed to get a fraction of the outturn, which was a miniscule 100 bottles!
