From the owners: Klaus-Peter Keller: We are a small family business with top vineyard sites. Three generations live under one roof and are inspired by the same idea: bringing the taste of the individual vineyard into the bottle. This makes us happy because we like to drink it ourselves.
From us: In Germany's fine wine world, only Egon Mueller carries a reputation with as much prestige as Keller. Their wines are elusive and ethereal, with amazing longevity and concentration. They, along with producers like Wittmann and St. Antony (we carry both), redefined the Rheinhessen, proving that they can produce wines that can rival or better anything in the country.
750 mlThis may be Keller's entry-level wine, but it's an absolutely delicious bottle and a beautiful example of the featherweight delicacy Kabinett rieslings exhibit. Wonderfully aromatic with notes of white peach, lime blossom and pineapple, displaying more complex mineral and honey notes with time in the glass. The palate is displays excellent depth and concentration of flavour, yet it has the most delicate texture and weight that passes across a tight-rope of zesty acidity. Enjoy it with crab cakes, sushi, and a host of other Asian dishes.
