Burrowing Owl Pinot Gris

Burrowing Owl Pinot Gris

$40.99

Burrowing Owl Vineyards is situated within the very hot, dry bunchgrass climate of the South Okanagan, one of the four most endangered ecosystems in Canada. The first vineyards were planted in 1993 and the winery's first vintage was released in 1997. The winery also boasts the first underground storage caves in the Okanagan Valley. The international wine trade consistently names these wines among the best in the world. We love this Pinot Gris. Floral-jasmine and melon aromas are balanced by bright acidity and a long finish.

As 2024 was a non-existent vintage in 2024 for the Okanagan (due to the deep freeze in January), many producers had to bring in fruit from Washington and Oregon simply to survive, as is the case here. That being said, it's fairly classic BO pinot gris, with notes of pear, peach and honeydew melon along with some more exotic notes.
