Throughout the history of Nino Franco, the vineyards were the ones to make the difference, starting with Grave di Stecca, one of the rarest and perhaps the only example of a clos in the area, cultivated as a single vineyard since 1991. An “iconic vineyard”, a symbol of the cultural revolution that allowed Primo Franco to completely bind Prosecco to its territory of origin, plot by plot. Today, Nino Franco directly cultivates three plots in the municipality of Valdobbiadene, stretching for about 4 hectares. An area that resulted from relentless mass selection, the vineyards are vinified separately and cultivated according to specific protocols. The result is a range of «grand cru» Prosecco wines: labels that, season after season, embody the intimate bond of a wine to its chosen terroir. "This Prosecco Rosé Millesimato is obtained from a carefully managed winemaking process, which involves the soft pressing of the Glera and Pinot Noir grapes , followed by static decantation and fermentation at 18°C with selected yeasts for the Glera. The Pinot Noir undergoes red maceration to enrich the wine's profile. The final blend is created before the second fermentation in an autoclave, using the Charmat method, for a period of 60 days."
Val d’Oca is one of the oldest, leading producers of Prosecco. Their sparkling wines are made with the Glera grape which is cultivated (by hand) and vinified in the hills of Valdobbiadene. The famous Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG was born here, and it is now considered the benchmark for quality in the region. Val d’Oca also produces Prosecco DOC coming from lands in the province of Treviso. Rive is a sub-zone, a quality site that is demarked to distinguish certain areas for Prosecco production.
