Referencing the opening track from Rod's 1991 album Vagabond Heart, the lyrics 'Rhythm of My Heart' are emblazoned on the base of the bottle. Rod's recording of the song was a nod to his own Scottish heritage having adapted the melody from the traditional folk song, Loch Lomond."

Evan's Tasting Note
Nose: Youthful and fresh with notes of honey, porridge with apple slices, Marshmallow Rice Krispies squares, and light chamomile tea with milk, and a dash of lemon and candied ginger.
Palate: Creamy with a touch of ginger spice, candied apple, poached pears, butterscotch, more honey and tea, and a bit of salt and smoke.
Finish: Lingering sweetness and soft honey and ginger with just a hint of bitter oak at the end.
Comment: As far as celebrity-endorsed whiskies go, you could do far worse. It probably helps that I am a sucker for Loch Lomond, but this is an easy drinking dram at a comfortable price point.

"This special expression is created using spirit from both our remarkable straight neck and more traditional swan neck stills. The spirit was then matured in American oak barrels and finished in heavily charred casks, flamed by our own in-house cooperage.
