Tasting Schedule

VIRTUAL TASTING SAMPLES CAN BE PICKED UP OR DELIVERED ( FOR A FEE) 

**NOTE** We are now offering Both Virtual and in-store tastings. Virtual tastings will clearly state that above the name of the tasting. 

Liquor tasting samples for virtual tastings are typically 15ml each unless otherwise indicated.

  • We offer Free City Wide Delivery within the  Calgary city limits for Orders Over $ 250  ** ONLY if all samples can be delivered at the same time. If you are purchasing multiple events - logistically, we may not be able to have all samples ready to go in one delivery. As you do have the option of picking up your samples, we will deliver as much as we can in the first delivery for free, any subsequent deliveries will be $10. 
  • We can arrange shipping within Alberta for a fee. - packaging and shipping fees apply.
  • We do Not ship out of the Province.

Please be sure to include a valid email address in your order as we will contact participants a few days before the tasting with instructions on how to participate.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Registrations can be gifted or transferred - you are welcome to allow someone else to take your place if you cannot take part in the tasting.
    • For virtual tastings you will need to arrange getting them the samples if you have already received them, You are also responsible to send them the link for the tasting as it will be emailed to the purchaser.
    • For in person events, You would need to give us their name for the list if you are not attending.
  • Tastings are non refundable – For both virtual and In Person events, you will receive a ** store credit for the value if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance of the event. *** PLEASE NOTE: Larger group cancellations (3 or more)  for in store tastings require the cancellation request be submitted a minimum of 4 days prior to the tasting for a store credit to be applied. 
  • Due to the logistics of pickup and delivery of samples for virtual  , cancellations will not be considered within 7 days of the tasting,**  or if you have already received the tastings samples. Once delivered or picked up, we cannot take the tasting bottles back.

  • Store Credits can be used for anything KWM sells  - you do not have to use them specifically for tastings.

Tastings typically start at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Please make sure you are aware of the start time.
We encourage participants to drink responsibly.

This lineup focuses exclusively on the Decadent Drams range, and includes a bespoke Blended Malt Scotch Whisky that Angus created for the sinDicate (a whisky club) and KWM. It also includes Decadent Drams bottlings of Arran 10 Year, Caol Ila 13, Glen Toon (Glen Scotia) 8 Year, Loch Do (Mannochmore) 15 Year, Loch Lomond 19 Year, and the Spirit of Yorkshire 6 Year.

Tres Vieille Eau de Vie - More Than 300 Years of Cognac & Armagnac

THIS IS A VIRTUAL TASTING

With XO Cognac and Armagnac allowing a minimum spirit age of ONLY a decade, and even XXO Cognac needing to be a paltry 14 years old, the prices on 'high-end' Eau de Vie can seem a bit silly. With that in mind, we are absolutely obliterating those age statements with the lineup for this virtual tasting. There is only one spirit in this lineup that was distilled in this millennium. The other six bottles in this incredible range feature spirit going back to at least 1988, with most of it being distilled in the 1960s and 1970s! If you are going to pay to taste old Eau de Vie, you should be tasting actual old Eau de Vie, right? We've got you!

Tour de France with Stan

Stan is headed on a bon voyage to France, for a wine-fuelled vacation! He has plans to visit many Châteaux et Vignobles while taking in the most well-known and highly regarded wine country in the world.

Stan and his wife Cathi will have recently visited Champagne, Chablis, Burgundy, Beaujolais, and Northern Rhone — just a month prior. Hear the stories and experience the wines. The tasting looks to be spectacular.

On the Benromach side of things we'll be sampling our new(ish) 2005 KWM Cask, a sherried 18 year old, the 2014 Cask Strength, and the Contrasts High Enzyme 2012. From the G&M side of the ledger we have 5 freshly landed whiskies: BenRiach 1997, Glenburgie 2008, Glen Grant 1998, Linkwood 2002, and Tomatin 2008. We'll wander down a few garden paths, skirting the edge of deep rabbit holes, all while trying to avoid being cancelled by Disney!

Margaine to stunning, bone-dry GG Rieslings from St. Antony and powerful reds from Moss Wood (Western Australia) and Phillipe & Vincent Jaboulet (Northern Rhone). This year's Advent Tastings selection features an all-new range of 25 28ml whiskies, carefully curated by the team at KWM. The lineup is primarily single malt Scotch, with an average age of roughly 19 years; the oldest whisky is 44 years of age. Andrew and Evan will be hosting five 5-whisky tastings on December 5, 10, 15, 20, and 28 at 7 PM MT. Not able to make the tastings? No problem! We post them on YouTube and Facebook the next day so you can follow along at your own pace. We also feature one whisky a day on our KWM Blog and Social Media beginning December 1. We try to balance the individual 5-whisky tastings, so there is a comparable mix of whiskies in each, but only one of them features a 44 year old!

The Full Set contains 25 28ml whiskies, comprising 5 tastings, a KWM Whisky Advent Discount Card, and a wee Glencairn glass, all in one box which coincidentally looks a lot like an Advent Calendar... even though it's not... we call it 25 Days of Dram Fine Whisky!

Target pickup date is End of October.
