Siegel Ketran
$84.99
Ketran means, in mapuche language, “land ploughed by the fire resulting from volcanic activity.” This wine is born out of the inspiration of the volcanic soils that give birth to the vineyards in Los Lingues at the foot of the Cordillera de Los Andes, high Colchagua. It is in this exact location where one can find unique terroir characteristics that allow to produce a wine rich in complexity and elegance. This is a violet red wine, on nose is present great aromatic intensity, with red fruit notes, good volume in mouth and juiciness, persistent and lingering flavour. Lots of potential to develop over time.
A blend of 35% Syrah, 30% Petit Verdot, 25% Carmenere, 10% Cabernet Franc. All from Volcanic Origin, coluvial soil, presence of clay, decomposition of volcanic rock with cornerstones, different structure depending on the sector. Hand picked, fermenting temperatures are between 26 – 28C for seven days, 3 weeks long maceration, after that is filled into french oak barrels and left to age for 30 months and then another 12 months in bottle before release.
