To help us mark our 25th Anniversary the good people at Castarede have bottled a 1992 vintage Armagnac for our shop. Only 60 bottles have been filled of our special Armagnac! Established in 1832, the House of Armagnac Castarède is the oldest trading Armagnac house.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: big rich fruit cake and brandy filled chocolates; cedar boxed spices, firm leather, cooked raisins and loads of berry fruits: strawberry jam, rhubarb crisp and Saskatoon berry pie.
Palate: round, fruity and smooth with warming wood spices, leather and chocolate shavings; still fruity, more fruit cake, loads of cooked raisins and the rhubarb and Saskatoon notes of the nose; becomes darker, more leather and earthy.
Finish: medium in length, coating, smooth and very spicy; it finishes dry leaving the mouth salivating for more.
Comment: our first exclusive Armagnac bottling will not disappoint; and is dangerously easy drinking!
