Domaine des Nymphes Cotes du Rhone Villages Blanc is a blend of 50% Viognier, 30% Roussanne, and 20% Marsanne. This dry, medium-bodied and balanced wine will pair well with salmon, grilled pork sausage, grilled chicken salad, charcuterie and hard cheeses.
From Rasteau winemaker Pierre Meyer works the Domaine des Nymphes family estate that his father founded in 1981. Pierre himself has been in charge since 2005. The family estate contains 33 hectares of vineyards and is currently undergoing a push towards organic viticulture. Domaine des Nymphes produces more than a dozen different wines within Rhone each year, including this Cotes du Rhone Villages Blanc.

This organic white blend of Garnatxa Blanca (White Grenache) and Montonega is produced by Mascorrubi from their estate vineyards. It spends three months in oak before being bottled. Expect notes of fresh apples and peaches, light honey and a dash of oak on this silky but dry white.

The Viognier grape originated in Condrieu in the Northern Rhone Valley. Tahbilk's first planting's of Viognier occurred in 1990 with the first vintage released in 1996. Since then they have won many awards and are now considered the "benchmark Viognier " producer. This offering is un-wooded allowing its exotic floral and citrus fruits to shine. Best appreciated as a youthful and exuberant wine.

Barrel fermentation and ageing offers a little different take on the handling of the three white varieties used in the blend: 50% Roussanne, 30% Vermentino, 20% Grenache Blanc. The result reveals subtle aromas of pear entwined with a trace of citrus zest and tiny hint of toast. Persistence and fullness on the palate make this one a perfect pairing for delicately flavoured fish, chicken cooked in white wine with a creamy morel mushroom sauce and, of course, a cheese platter.

A rarity in Australia, this Rhone Valley varietal is the base of one of Yangarra's most remarkable wines. Aged 7 months in used barrel and rested on lees, this medium body white wine is smooth and creamy, with notes of poached quince and pears with spicy and lightly honeyed aromas. A great wine to enjoy with fattier seafood, fondue or simply enjoy on its own!
