Our 4th exclusive KWM single cask of Glendronach is nearly here, and it is another stunner. To date we’ve bottled a 1995, 1972 and a 2001. This cask, which yielded 498 bottles at a cask strength of 57.5%, is the first of two we have coming from the distillery this fall. We also have 2003 vintage due in late November, early December. This whisky is expected to be in store in the next couple of weeks, and we’re sure it will be a hot commodity. Our last KWM Glendronach cask sold out in 7 weeks.

Nose: A delightful balance of sweet and spice. Sultanas and yellow plums warmed by touches of ginger, cinnamon and candied peel. Appearance: Polished cherry wood.
Palate: Crisp oak spices in balance with rich plum juice and barley-dusted stewed apples. Gentle clove and touches of earthy nutmeg add ever-changing depth and roundness to the long finish.”

Not so much a classic, as it is an icon. When you're looking for big sherried malts, there's probabaly not many that should come before this one.

"Matured in a combination of the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for a minimum of 21 years and bottled at 48% ABV, the ‘Parliament’ continues the great GlenDronach tradition of offering fruit-laden intensity in its single malts. This rich expression has been named ‘Parliament’ after the colony, or ‘parliament’, of rooks that have been nesting in the trees that overlook the GlenDronach distillery for almost 200 years."
